Applications are invited for one temporary position or contractual position of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for the project “Effect of colloids on the formation of beads on the exterior of a cylinder using flow instabilities for various applications” at the Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Kanpur.

Minimum Qualification: B.Tech + MTech in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with experience relevant in numerical modeling of flow and transport processes using Ansys and COMSOL

Job Description:

Numerical and theoretical model development for flow over a cylinder with colloidal transport using Ansys and COMSOL.

Desirable Experience:

• Proficient in Ansys and/or COMSOL
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience at any level with one of these softwares
• Good understanding of the basic concepts of fluid flow and transport modeling

Salary Range:

The consolidated salary is Rs. 37000/-.

Duration of appointment:

1 year contract or till the end of project whichever is earlier.
