Applications are invited for the following temporary & contractual post to work as Senior Project Associate in the project "Facility Management of Computer Labs".

Post: Senior Project Associate

Minimum Qualification and post Qualification Experience:

B.Tech (CS/IT/EEE/EC) + 1 year experience in software development

Or

M.Sc (CS/IT) + 1 year of experience in software development.

Or

B.Sc + MCA + 1 year experience in software development.

Desirable Qualification and Experience:

The candidate should have experience 2 years or more in web development and software design in Perl, JAVA, and HTML. Experience in handling or creating databases like MySQL.

Efficient in the handling of Windows/Linux, Databases and Programming using web technology/android app.

Update/modify/install software/patches on large number of computers in a short time via scripting/cloning or other techniques

Nature of work:

The candidate’s tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Technical expertise in Software development, Maintenance and Database management
  • Web development using Perl, JAVA, HTML, and Database administration using MySQL.
  • Deploying web server, FTP, samba server
  • Software and Patch Management
  • Software maintenance of lab booking portal running on RHEL using PERL and MySQL
  • Knowledge of Linux operating system, computer hardware, and networking

Salary: Rs 21600-1800-54000 (consolidated) based on qualification and experience

Duration of appointment: one year (may be extended based on performance and requirement).

Number of positions: Two (2)

Please note that the labs operate from 8AM to 2AM on all days including Saturdays and Sundays except on some selected holidays as declared. The selected persons would be required to work in day shift (8AM to 5PM) or night shift (5PM to 2AM).
