Enhancement of Honorarium for Visiting and Other Positions

In view of the pay revision and to keep the corresponding parity, we need to increase the honorarium to be paid for visiting positions, I request you to please consider the following:

Visiting Faculty/ * Visiting Scientist at Asstt. Professor level	Rs. 60000/- per month consolidated	Experience equivalent to Asstt.Profesor	Accommodation in VH or SBRA or Type III as per availability
Visiting Associate Professor	Rs. 80000/- per month consolidated	Experience equivalent to Associate Professor	--do--
Visiting Professor * (Professor/Emeritus Professor)	Rs.100000/- per month consolidated	Experience equivalent to Professor	Suitable accommodation as per availability
Distinguished Honorary Professor	Rs. 5000/- per day subject to maximum 10 days/month + Travel with in India For foreign travel is to be considered on case by case basis	Exceptionally qualified and distinguished persons equivalent to Professors. Retired Professors can be considered	Lodging, boarding and local hospitality for the days of stay in VH/VFA
Adjunct Faculty	Rs. 3000/- per day + travel	Persons working in Institute, industry, reputed research organizations, industrialists with good academic qualifications and experience	Lodging, boarding and local hospitality by Department. Accommodation in VH

*The person concerned must be employed in an Organization and therefore must obtain the permission to accept appointment at IIT Kanpur

**Except when approved by the Standing Committee, the boarding, lodging and local transport will be on payment basis. Allotment of house will be decided by HAC-I subject to any special recommendation made by the Standing Committee.
