Mr. Alok Agarwal (BT/EE/1979) is the Chief Financial Officer at Reliance Industries. He earned his management degree from IIM Ahmadabad in 1981. Mr. Agarwal instituted the Class of 1979 Young Faculty Fellowship that is open to all the departments of engineering and sciences .
Dr. Abheejeet Mohapatra is the professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering at IIT Kanpur. His research interests include Power system security, Uncertainty modelling, Stochastic analysis and optimization, Robust and efficient system operation and planning, Renewable integration in power systems, Deregulation. He was awarded a scholarship from the Ramanujan Mathematical Society and has published more than 100 papers in reputed international journals, international and national conferences. Dr. Mohapatra has received the INAE Young Engineer Award in Dec 2021 and the Power System Operation Corporation Ltd. (POSOCO) Power Systems Award (PPSA) for the best PhD dissertation in March 2014. He has carried out a number of consultancy projects for NTPC NETRA, Metros in Lucknow, Kanpur, Bhopal, and Indore, and transformer manufacturing firms. He did M. Tech. in Power Systems and Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, New Delhi in 2010 and 2014, respectively.
Dr. Rahul Mangal is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at IIT Kanpur. His work focuses on investigating dynamics and other relevant physics of Artificial Active Matter with the goal to use the artificial micromachines as controllable cargo carriers. His research work was featured as Editors pick in Physics of Fluids, and he won Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) Young Engineer Award 2020, a coveted recognition for exemplary research contributions. He earned his PhD in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University working in the area of Polymer Nanocomposites. He did his post doc working in Liquid Crystals at University of Wisconsin Madison, USA.
