Dr. Mahesh Gupta is a renowned name in the water purification industry. He is the Founder & Chairman of KENT RO Ltd., India.
Dr. Gupta graduated from IIT Kanpur in 1975 in Mechanical Engineering and is also an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Petroleum, Dehradun. He has been instrumental in revolutionizing purified drinking water in India. He patented the technology in 1990 and launched the brand Kent RO. Before starting his own business venture, Dr. Gupta joined Indian Oil Corporation and worked as an engineer on the conservation of fuel. He has more than half a dozen patent technologies to his name. He also heads Ph.D. Chamber of Commerce as its President.
He has been conferred upon with an Honorary Doctorate from Sri University Orissa, for his contribution in providing safe and healthy drinking water in Rural and Urban areas. He has also opted to be a mentor under the IIT Alumni Association. Mr. Gupta also takes out time to guide young minds and channelize their energy in the right direction, through guest lectures at several MBA institutes and entrepreneurship development programs.
Dr. Mahesh Gupta was conferred with the Distinguished Alumnus Award, 2011 from IIT Kanpur.
