Dr. Rajeev Gautam is the former President and CEO of Honeywell Performance Materials and Technologies (PMT). Prior to this role, Dr. Gautam served as President of Honeywell Universal Oil Products (UOP). In his 30 years of service to the industry, he has held key positions within UOP, spanning research and development, engineering, and marketing, including vice president and chief technology officer of UOP.
Dr. Gautam did his B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from IIT Kanpur in 1974. He went on to earn his master's degree from Drexel University and a doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania. He also holds an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Dr. Gautam began his career with Union Carbide in 1978, which became a part of a joint venture with UOP in 1988. Throughout his career, he has championed innovative solutions for industry needs and has been responsible for the development and commercialization of a broad range of catalytic and separations applications for the refining, petrochemical, and gas processing industries. He is the recipient of the prestigious IITK Distinguished Alumnus Award 2020.
