Mr. Ranodeb Roy currently serves as the Co-founder, CEO, and Chief Investment Officer of RV Capital Management, an asset management company based in Singapore. He is also a member of Board of Directors of Bandhan Financial Services, and was previously a Board Member of Bandhan Bank and Makemytrip Inc.
Mr. Roy did his bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Kanpur in 1990, and subsequently went on to complete his MBA from IIM Ahmedabad in 1992. He has over 30 years of global Financial Markets experience. Prior to setting up RV Capital, he was the Managing Director and Head of Fixed Income Asia Pacific at Morgan Stanley in Hong Kong. He has also worked in Merill Lynch Hong Kong as Managing Director and Co-head of Fixed Income Currency and commodities group, and held various senior positions in Merill Lynch across major locations including New York, Tokyo, and Hong Kong. He started his career at the Bank of America in 1992 in Mumbai.
He is involved in numerous philanthropic activities. He founded an NGO named Utsarga CHarity and has set up two faculty chairs at IIT Kanpur: Sajani Kumar Roy Memorial Chair, and Dr. Mahua Memon and Ranodeb Roy Young faculty Chair, and the Paromita Ghosh memorial merit-cum-means Scholarship. He is also the co-founder of IIM Ahmedabad Endowment Fund and co-founder of Ashoka University. He was honored with the Distinguished Alumnus Award by IIT Kanpur in 2022.
