Mr. Sanjay Pandey is the Mumbai Commissioner of Police. He is 1986 IPS batch officer. Earlier, he served as the Director-General of Police (DGP) of Maharashtra.
Mr. Pandey did his B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Kanpur in 1983. He went on to do his Master's in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School in 1998. He started his career as Superintendent of Police in Mumbai in 1986. In 2000, he was the Global Head Cyber Security Practice at TCS. He founded i Sec in 2003 which was an Information Security Consulting company. Since 2011, he was the Director General Indian Police Service where he chaired the committee to draft a plan for effective cyber crime investigation and nationwide coordination in cyber crime cases.
