Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF), Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Kanpur

Description: A research position (JRF) is open for a project on experiments to determine acoustic properties of various sound absorbing structural elements such as acoustic liners and resonators. The research fellow will be expected to design experiments, perform experiments, analyze obtained data, and perform numerical simulations (COMSOL/Matlab). Relevant skills and experience are expected from applicants.

Essential qualifications: M. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering

Desired qualifications/skills: As per requirements (see description)

Term of appointment: 11 months with possible extension to a maximum of 24 months.

Salary: INR 31000 pm (consolidated).
