Applications are invited for temporary & contractual post of Project Scientist/Project Engineer under the project entitled “Centre of Excellence for Large Area of Flexible Electronics at IIT Kanpur” at Samtel Centre for Display Technologies (SCDT), IIT Kanpur.

Minimum Qualification: PhD or (M.Sc + 3 Yrs of Exp.) / M.Tech or (B.Tech. + 3 Yrs of Exp)

Desirable Qualification and Experience: Ph.D. / M.Tech. with thesis work carried out in areas related to organic semiconductor and device fabrication and characterization. One year post PhD experience or four years post Master’s degree experienced involving organic semiconductor device fabrication, especially the fabrication of organic solar cells, handling of glove boxes, vacuum equipment and device processing equipment will looked at favourably. Knowledge and experience in solar cell reliability studies will be valuable.

Essential Experience: Experience in leading a team working on a research & development project. Candidate should have hands-on working experience with organic photodetector/photovoltaic device fabrication, electronic material characterization such as XRD, profilometer, SEM, AFM etc. and device characterization such as electrical conductivity, CV, impedance measurements etc.

Salary: Rs. 31600-2600-78400/- (per month based on qualification)

Term of Appointment: The appointment will be purely on temporary and contractual basis initially for a period of one year or end of the project, whichever is earlier
