Applications are invited for one post of Senior Project Engineer in an IMPRINT project titled, “DEVELOPMENT OF ZrB2-SiC BASED MATERIALS NOSE CONE LEADING EDGE IN RE-ENTRY SPACE VEHICLES” in the Department of Materials Sciences & Engineering, IIT Kanpur.

Minimum Qualification: Ph.D. OR (M. tech. + 3 years experience)

Work Experience:
The applicant must have a strong background and knowledge on processing of ceramics (including sintering, forging, pressing, etc). Also, the applicant must have sound understanding of ultra-high temperature ceramics (especially ZrB2 and HfB2 based composites). Applicant should have good expertise on the microstructural and phase characterization. Applicant should also be acquainted with sample sectioning, mounting, and polishing. Working knowledge of computer-based office applications (MS Office, etc.) is also necessary.

Position: Senior Project Engineer

Salary: Rs. 27,000-2,700-54,000
