Alumni Association of IITK in collaboration with IITK Development Foundation held 35th reunion of the Class of 1986 virtually on 20th March 2021. More than 100 alumni participated in this event that was filled with entertainment sessions from the alumni and brainstorming sessions to discuss the future plans of IITK. Director IITK, Prof. Abhay Karandikar talked about the new initiatives of the Institute and reached out to alumni to play a bigger role in making these initiatives a success.

The Dean of Resources and Alumni and Secretary of Alumni Association, Prof. Jayant K Singh, talked about the role of alumni in strengthening the image of IITK and the importance of giving back. The Class of 1986 has been one of the top benefactors of the Institute.

It has over the years instituted many scholarships, faculty chairs, faculty fellowships and contributed generously to many community welfare initiatives. The Class of 1986 has pledged to support and generate funds for the upcoming School of Medical Research and Technology.
