Kanpur, March 01, 2024: Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) announced a significant milestone of 1000 enrollments in its groundbreaking eMasters degree program that was launched in January 2022. The executive-friendly programs which do not require a GATE score and can be pursued without interrupting professional careers have seen immense popularity among professionals leading to this landmark achievement.

The new cohorts of IIT Kanpur’s eMasters degree program will be in 10 specialized cutting-edge fields including Data Science and Business Analytics, Next Generation Wireless Technologies, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Financial Technology and Management, Business Finance, Public Policy, Climate Finance and Sustainability, Quantitative Finance and Risk Management, and Sustainable Construction Practices and Project Management.

These industry-relevant programs are offered in a high-impact format with a judicious mix of weekend-only live interactive classes and self-paced learning modules. The 60-credit, 12-module industry-aligned curriculum is taught by world-class faculty and researchers from IIT Kanpur. Program participants gain access to the IITK Incubation Cell and alumni network, enriching their experience with opportunities for career advancement and networking.

As a part of the immersive learning experience, participants visit the IIT Kanpur campus to meet the eminent faculty and network with experienced professionals. Participants will also gain the prestigious IIT Kanpur alumni status. The eMasters also offer flexibility in time for completion, ranging from 1 to 3 years, allowing busy professionals the freedom to pursue and complete the course at their convenience.

So far, over 220 professionals have graduated with an eMasters degree from IIT Kanpur and have successfully scaled their careers in the new-age domains. The program has a diverse participant base, enabling an enriching learning environment that caters to a wide range of professional backgrounds. A significant portion of participants come from engineering and development backgrounds, with a notable contribution from managerial roles, followed by analysts and leadership roles. Furthermore, past participants exhibit diverse professional backgrounds. 30% come with less than 5 years of experience, 24% with 5-10 years, and a notable 46% boasting over 10 years of expertise.
