Kanpur, 12 August, 2024: The Rajbhasha Prakostha at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) hosted a five-day training program on Hindi typing and Hindi word processing. This initiative, conducted under the Hindi Teaching Scheme of the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, was guided by Prof. Braj Bhushan, Deputy Director of IIT Kanpur. Mr. Nawaz Sharif, Assistant Director of the Hindi Teaching Scheme from Mirpur Cantt, Kanpur, conducted the training. The training saw active participation from 28 officers and employees across various departments of the institute, reflecting a strong commitment to enhancing their proficiency in Hindi typing and word processing. The overall direction of the program was provided by Dr. Ark Verma, Professor-in-charge of the Rajbhasha Prakostha, ensuring that the training aligned with the institute’s objectives. Following the five-day program, the Institute’s Registrar, Mr. Vishwa Ranjan, recognized the participants' efforts by awarding them certificates. He also motivated them to apply their newly acquired skills by increasing the use of Hindi in their daily official work, contributing to the broader goal of promoting the use of Hindi in the institute. The concluding ceremony was presented by Shri Jagdish Prasad, Sr. Technical Superintendent, with a vote of thanks delivered by Shri Vijay Kumar Pandey, Hindi Officer.
