Kanpur, 18 August 2023: The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK) is gearing up for Udghosh'23, its annual sports festival. To bring the spirit of this sports extravaganza closer to school students, the institute has announced the Udghosh National Open School Quiz (UNOSQ) for students from grades 5-12. The competition will take place in two phases, with an opportunity for participants to showcase their logical thinking, problem-solving abilities, general knowledge, and sports acumen. UNOSQ is divided into four pools, catering to different age groups such as; Pool A: Youngsters (grades 5th-6th), Pool B: Rising Stars (grades 7th-8th), Pool C: Champions (grades 9th-10th) and Pool D: Pioneers (grades 11th-12th). The first phase of UNOSQ is scheduled for 27 August 2023, where participants will face questions designed to ignite their intellect and stimulate their minds. It will be a fusion of logic, aptitude, problem-solving, general awareness and knowledge of sports – a mental adventure that makes brains work faster and smarter. The second phase, slated for 3 September 2023, is exclusive to the top 100 students from the initial round. With more challenging yet exhilarating questions, this phase will truly test participants' mettle and knowledge. The journey of UNOSQ culminates on 7 September 2023, with the announcement of the final winners. Along with the quiz, the participants will get to attend interactive sessions with industry experts and thought leaders. A grand felicitation ceremony is scheduled for 8 October 2023 and will take place at IIT Kanpur, as part of the closing festivities of Udghosh'23. Winners will not only receive prizes worth more than Rs 50,000 but also various merchandise and goodies. Registrations are open until August 23, 2023 and can be done at UNOSQ-Udghosh'23 | IIT Kanpur. The participants will get to be part of Udghosh'23's legacy, contribute their talent and enthusiasm, and experience where knowledge meets excitement.
