Research Topic:
Microwave absorbers have several applications in commercial as well as military domain where high performance absorbing materials are required. However, the large thickness and fragile nature of standard microwave absorbers are the main limitations. Metamaterial is a new type of material, where the constituent parameters can be tuned to realize the desired property. Metamaterial based microwave absorber structures are ultra-thin and easy to fabricate. Currently, the aim of research is to realize the metamaterial absorber structures having bandwidth over wide frequency range for using in various potential applications.
