Research Topic

The research aims at developing high boost, shoot-through capable inverters which can feed both AC and DC loads simultaneously. The proposed inverters can be connected to low power DG (distributed generation) systems where a large voltage boost is required to connect to 110/220 V systems, residential DC distribution systems, etc. The proposed inverters are capable of overcoming the drawbacks of traditional Boost-VSI system by eliminating the need of shoot-through protection, extreme duty operation, use of transformer, etc.
